WATCH OUT! WITH YOUR EYES
One of the most important tools for
translators is eyesight because most of our activity is based on reading for long
hours in front of computer. That is why
we must take care of it by finding time to rest, consult an ophthalmologist for
routine check outs and especially if we have troubles when seeing; it is also
important to take vitamins and also use natural medicines to relief our
fatigued eyes.
There are some recommendations about taking
care of our eyes, for example:
- Reduce the reflex and brightness of our computer
- Use our computer screen in a distance of 30 or 35 centimeters approximately
- Take rests after each 20 or 30 minutes of work in front of the computer
- Consult ophthalmologists so they can determine if there is need to use glasses, lubrication drops or vitamins
- There are also some natural supplements that help to relief fatigued-eyes like: Euphrasia drops, cucumber slices and potatoes slices among others.
Work is important, but it is more
important to be healthy to do a better job.
Would you like to share with us how
do you take care of our eyes?

Many of us focus so much in our daily work that we forget about taking care of our eyes. I try to get some rest after 1.5 hours of continuous work in front of a computer. Also, two years ago my ophtalmologist prescribed permanent eyedrops for my eyes, so I apply 1 drop every four hours.
ReplyDeleteI do some of the things there, but it is kind of difficult for me to take breaks everytime I feel I need, or that I want to because I work in a call center, but suplements could be something I would start using, thanks for the advise.
